(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 13 - According to preliminary data
collected by Frontex, the number of irregular border crossings
into the European Union fell by 36% in the first seven months of
2024, to 113 400. The Western Balkans and Central Mediterranean
routes saw the greatest decrease in irregular border crossings,
with 75% and 64%, respectively.
