(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 13 - The number of irregular border
crossings into the European Union decreased by 39% to 139 847 in
the first eight months of this year, according to preliminary
data collected by Frontex, the agency announced today. The
Western Balkans and Central Mediterranean routes saw the
greatest decreases in irregular border crossings, by 77% and
64%, respectively.
