Trieste among 10 trendiest destinations in the world

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 16 - Trieste, a historic port city with unique architecture and must-see literary cafés, is one of the world's ten trendiest destinations for 2025, according to Booking.com, which analysed the platform's data to identify hidden gems and unexpected places ripe for becoming new holiday hot spots. And the figures show that searches for stays in Trieste in 2024 have increased by 349% over the previous year, not only among Italian travellers, but also among an increasing number of international tourists. Searches from Austria, for example, increased by 156%, while searches from Germany increased by 144%. Tourists from Serbia (1630%), Croatia (1313%), and Australia (598%) are also showing an increase in interest. (ANSA).
