From tomorrow, yellow to red 'Sticker' for traffic on A4 and A28

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 05 LUG - The first weekend of July marks a significant increase in traffic on the Autostrade Alto Adriatico network, partly due to the start of sales and Pope Francis' visit to Trieste.
According to the highway operator, almost 190,000 vehicles are expected tomorrow compared to Saturday, June 29, when New York recorded 172,000 vehicles.
On the A4 highway towards Trieste, it will be a red 'sticker' day for heavy traffic, while in the morning on the A28 (towards Portogruaro) and the A4 towards Venice, traffic will be heavy throughout the day, marked with a yellow sticker. The toll stations under the most pressure will be Trieste Lisert and Latisana (a total of almost 40,000 vehicles), San Donà (12,000), and Villesse (11,000). In addition to the increased presence of Autostrade Alto Adriatico personnel, especially at toll collection points, there will also be user assistance at the Lisert, Villesse, Latisana, San Donà, and San Stino toll stations.
There will be a yellow sticker, with an expected number of nearly 170,000 vehicles on Sunday. Intermittent traffic jams and queues could occur on the A4 in both directions in the morning and afternoon due to the first returns from seaside locations and on the A28 (towards Portogruaro), particularly in the evening for returns from the mountains. On the A28, the Porcia-Sacile Est section towards Conegliano will remain closed to traffic until midnight on Sunday, with two-way traffic on the opposite carriageway and the closure of the entrance and exit ramps at the Fontanafredda junction towards Conegliano.
