(ANSA) - ALGIERS, 31 AGO - Algeria officially opened its
embassy in Slovenia, following a similar move by Ljubljana in
the North African capital last May.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry announced this in a statement
published on its social media accounts last night.
The opening ceremony took place in the presence of Foreign
Minister Ahmed Attaf, his Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fajon,
several Slovenian officials, including the State Secretary for
Environment, Climate, and Energy, the State Secretary of the
Prime Minister, and the CEO of the energy company Geoplin.
The opening of the Algerian embassy in Ljubljana "is part of
the implementation of the high-level directives of the leaders
of both countries aimed at elevating bilateral diplomatic
representation to the level of resident ambassadors, to support
and monitor the growing dynamics of bilateral relations across
different levels and sectors," the statement underlined. (ANSA).
