(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 7 - After a two-year period of
weakness, the German economy is "slowly regaining its footing,"
according to a press release from the Bundesbank that summarises
the central bank's current forecast for Frankfurt, which is
consistent with estimates made at the end of the year. "The
German economy is freeing itself from the phase of economic
weakness," said the president of the Bundesbank, Joachim Nagel,
adding that the German GDP will grow "slightly again" this year
and "to a greater extent" in the coming years.
