Inflation rate in Germany at +2.3% in July 2024

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 9 - Germany's inflation rate, measured as the year-on-year change in the consumer price index (CPI), was +2.3% in July 2024, the statistical office Destatis said today. The rate of change was +2.2% in June 2024 and +2.4% in May 2024. "Decreases in energy prices, in particular, are dampening the rate of inflation," states Ruth Brand, President of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). (ANSA).
