Germany, Zew confidence index plummets

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 13 - The Zew index of German investor confidence fell to 19.2 points in August from 41. 8 in July, far worse than forecasts of a more moderate decline to 34.0. The Zew component relating to current conditions fell to -77.3 from -68.9. The expected decline was to -74.5. (ANSA).
