The trip will also be a tribute to the many Romanian families who have arrived in Italy and the Pordenone area over time." "In Timisoara - underlined Pordenonelegge artistic director Gian Mario Villalta - we will engage in a dialogue between Italy and Romania on crucial issues such as language, poetry, human geography, and culture." Two meetings are scheduled, with the support of BCC Banks of Pordenone and Monsile: the "Romance Europe" lecture by linguist and philologist Lorenzo Tomasin, in the Eugen Todoran University Central Library, to recall the common linguistic matrix of Italy and Romania, and a video conference with Giulio Ferroni, professor emeritus at La Sapienza University of Rome, with a focus dedicated to "Dante's Italy," thus to the father and "inventor" of the Italian language.
