Matteo Garrone arrives at Kustendorf festival in Serbia

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 23 - The Italian director Matteo Garrone arrived today in Mecavnik, Serbia, for the 17th Kustendorf International Film and Music Festival. "I am very happy to be here, because this is a unique festival, and I feel at home," said Garrone, as quoted by Tanjug. The Italian filmmaker will receive "The Tree of Life" at the festival founded by film director Emir Kusturica. Garrone's film "Me Captain" will be screened in Mecavnik. The film was nominated for an Oscar today. "If I win the Oscar, we will celebrate in Mecavnik," Garrone said, as reported by Tanjug. (ANSA).
