(ANSA) - GORIZIA, 03 OTT - The first Cross-border Film School for advanced filmmaking training has officially opened in Gorizia as part of the BorGo Cinema project. The school aims to provide participants with comprehensive screenwriting, producing, and directing training.
The program is curated by Cross-border Film School, chaired by director Ivan Gergolet, Matteo Oleotto, and Davide Del Degan, and casting director and creative producer Antonella Perrucci.
The international call for selection attracted over 300 expressions of interest from Europe, resulting in 133 formal applications. Fifteen participants from 6 European countries (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Hungary, and Portugal) have been selected for the first training year.
The master of photography in cinema, Dante Spinotti, a native of Carnia, Friuli, christened the activity. Spinotti is also a member of the school's faculty, which includes various field professionals, such as screenwriter Maurizio Braucci. The school's activities will involve creating video portraits of significant figures from the cross-border area.
Towards the end of the course, the participants will present their projects to a group of international producers. The best project will be made into a short film, which the entire group of students will work on, covering all stages from pre-production (casting, location scouting) to production (shooting) and post-production. The short film will be presented in film circuits and industry festivals as a culmination of the training. (ANSA).
