Italy and Romania together for child protection

(ANSA) - BUCAREST, NOV 2 - Italy and Romania shared experiences and practices of alternative care for children in both countries, as well as ongoing efforts to prevent the separation of children from their families and to complete deinstitutionalization processes. The event was organized by the Embassy of Italy in Bucharest in collaboration with the Romanian Ministry of Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities and UNICEF Romania. The event, held in Palatul Victoria headquarters of the Government of Romania, laid the groundwork for the creation of networks of practitioners in Italy and Romania to exchange best practices and continuously improve standards in the field.
