(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 26 - The official GO!2025 program was
presented internationally today at the Permanent Representation
of Slovenia to the European Union in Brussels. Slovenian
Undersecretary for Culture Marko Rusjan, Mija Lorbek, director
of GO! 2025, Stojan Pelko, program director of GO! 2025, and
Romina Kocina, director of EGTC GO, attended the event.
The stage in Brussels follows two other level events, namely
the presentation of the European Capital of Culture program in
Ljubljana on Wednesday and the relay between Capitals in Bad
Ischl, Austria, on Friday, November 22.
In Brussels, Rusjan underlined the importance of the first
international presentation of the official program and
highlighted that the project generates connections and links
between the two cities and countries involved.
The Capital of Culture title "is a recognition, a symbol of
European values and a testimony to our belief that culture is
not just a mirror of society, but a force that moves and
builds," Lorbek echoed. On the occasion, GO! 2025 artistic
advisor Neda Rusjan Bric presented some elements of the opening
ceremony, which will link the two cities and the highlights of
the capital's year, including the food and wine festival Gusti
senza frontiere. (ANSA).
