First Energy Council under new EU Commission underway

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, DEC 16 - - The second von der Leyen Commission's first Energy Affairs Council is currently taking place in Brussels. Dan Jorgensen of Denmark represents the European executive. The meeting of the 27 Energy and Environment Ministers, which does not include Italian Gilberto Pichetto, was preceded by a working breakfast with Jorgensen of the "friends of renewables" group. Austria and Portugal co-chaired the breakfast, which was attended by 15 member countries, including Italy, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands.
