(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 28 - The Austrian government has
announced that elections to renew the National Council (lower
house of Parliament) will take place on September 29, confirming
what Chancellor Karl Nehammer announced following the European
elections. The relevant ordinance was unanimously approved by
the Main Committee. A vote was not required for the National
Council's early dissolution because the current five-year
mandate will expire naturally. (ANSA).
