Seven people had died

(ANSA-AFP) - BRATISLAVA, JUN 28 - Slovakia's transport minister said Friday human error was likely to blame for the collision of a passenger train and bus that killed seven people and injured five others. The vehicles crashed on Thursday at a railway crossing near the southwestern town of Nove Zamky. Parts of the bus scattered on impact and the Prague-to-Budapest Eurocity train caught fire. "It was most likely an individual, human failure. It was not a technical or system failure," Transport Minister Jozef Raz told reporters. "The train should not have been on that track," he said, explaining that it had been closed for work following heavy rain in previous days. The Slovak rescue service said Thursday seven people had died as a result of the collision and five others were injured.
