Alongside Moldova on journey towards the EU: von der Leyen

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, DEC 10 - Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, expressed strong support for Moldova's European aspirations and praised President Maia Sandu's dedication. During Sandu's visit to Brussels, von der Leyen announced a €50 million aid package to support Moldovan reforms and economic stability. She also emphasised the EU's commitment to moving Moldova's accession process forward, with plans to begin key negotiations in 2025. (ANSA).
