(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 15 FEB - In 2023, German tourist attendance
in Friuli Venezia Giulia grew by 3.1 percent over the previous
year, exceeding 1.
A particularly significant increase in the number of tourists
in some areas of the region was recorded: above all the
mountains and the cities. The figure emerged on the sidelines of
a visit by the FVG regional councilor for Productive Activities
and Tourism, Sergio Emidio Bini, to the F.re.e fair in Munich,
where the FVG Region is present with its stand and 13 regional
operators, as well as the Pordenone Udine Chamber of Commerce.
"But in addition to this, there is a further novelty
concerning destinations - Bini remarked -, as in the pandemic
aftermath, tourists had been directed mainly toward the beach
destination, but now they are looking for an experience in
contact with nature, opting for mountain excursions and the
outdoors, preferably combined with high-quality food and wine.
This explains the success of Carnia (attendance up 18.3% ) and
the Tarvisio area (up 20.8%), but also of cities such as
Pordenone (up 16.3%) and Trieste (up 12.8%)." (ANSA).
