(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 29 - Despite an unfavorable calendar, with
Easter at the end of March, good results come from bookings in
Italian hotels. The picture taken by Confindustria Alberghi
shows, in most destinations, increasing data from the domestic
component and confirms the prevalent international presence in
hotel facilities.
Forecasts are excellent for the mountains, where the
reservations represent 80 percent of available rooms. The
clientele is mainly Italian, but there is no shortage of
foreigners, mainly from Northern Europe (Great Britain, Germany,
and Denmark) and Eastern Europe, Poland, and the Czech Republic
in particular. Reservations in seaside resorts account for more
than 54 percent of available rooms. (ANSA).
