(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 20 - Today, the national carrier Air
Serbia announced the termination of its partnership with
Greek-based Marathon Airlines. On Sunday evening, an Air Serbia
flight operated by Marathon bound for Düsseldorf, Germany, was
forced to make an emergency landing several minutes after
takeoff after colliding with the runway approach lights.
According to images and videos shared on social media, the
aircraft's wing and fuselage were damaged during takeoff.
Apparently, the pilots took off from Belgrade in the wrong
position on the runway. "Air Serbia has not and will not make
any announcements regarding the details of flight JU 324 on
February 18 while the investigation is ongoing," the company
added. (ANSA).
