(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 2 - On April 1, the European Public
Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) in Sofia requested that six companies
and four private houses in two Bulgarian districts be searched.
The searches were conducted to gather evidence in a suspected
case of embezzlement, misuse of EU funds, and money laundering
related to the construction of Bulgaria's longest road tunnel,
the Zheleznitsa tunnel, which was recently opened to traffic.
