JournalismAI is a global initiative that aims to educate and inform media organisations about the potential offered by AI-powered technologies. The mission of JournalismAI is to:
- Foster AI literacy to support journalists’ understanding of AI’s potential and implications;
- Facilitate knowledge exchange to connect media organisations with new ideas and best practices around AI innovation;
- Encourage collaboration to scale up the potential that AI can offer to newsrooms across the world.
In November 2019, JournalismAI published the report “New powers, new responsibilities”, a global survey of journalism and artificial intelligence, based on the insights shared by 71 news organisations in 32 differente countries.
JournalismAI is a project run by Polis – the journalism think-tank at the London School of Economics and Political Science – in collaboration with the Google News Initiative.
