Indonesia, preparativi per capodanno cinese

Made with sugar and glutinous rice flour, kue keranjang has a sticky and chewy texture. The name comes from the print container shaped like a basket. Prior to the Chinese New Year festivities, sales of the corresponding cakes rise, particularly among Indonesia's Chinese population.
    The Chinese Lunar New Year, known here as Imlek, is less than two weeks away and the city is getting decked out to celebrate the event on 10 February 2024 (ANSA).
