(ANSA) - ROMA, 14 GIU - epa11408986 Sumarwan, 45, a cattle vendor, holds his tools after cleaning up a cow at his 'cow salon' near a makeshift livestock market ahead of the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, in Jakarta, Indonesia, 14 June 2024.
Sumarwan cleans and massages cows to maintain them in good health and keep them away from stress before putting them on sale for the upcoming Islamic Eid al-Adha celebrations. Eid al-Adha is the holiest of the two Muslim holidays celebrated each year. It marks the yearly Muslim pilgrimage, Hajj, to visit Mecca, the holiest place in Islam. Muslims slaughter a sacrificial animal and split the meat into three parts, one for the family, one for friends and relatives, and one for the poor and needy. EPA/MAST IRHAM MAST IRHAM/ (ANSA).
