    According to officials, Kashmir is witnessing an unusually dry spell in the winter, there was an 80 per cent rain defifict in December and Jnauaryha sseen none so far; leading to dry up of portions of water bodies including river Jhelum, the lifeline of the valley. EPA/FAROOQ KHAN (ANSA).
