Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - ROMA, 16 GEN - A worker cleans San Amaro's beach of plastic pellets in A Coruna, Galicia region, north-western Spain, 16 January 2024. Millions of pellets washed up in Cantabria, Asturias and Galicia, all of them regions located in northern Spain, originated from at least one container that fell from the Toconao, a Liberia-registered vessel chartered by shipping giant Maersk, off the coast of Portugal last month, as stated by the pellets' manufacturer Bedeko Europe. Since it was noticed, NGOs', private and public cleaning services are working to clear beaches from these pellets, a difficult task due to the size of them. (ANSA).
