Liberia, madri single guidano risciò per mantenere i figli

    Calvenda, single mother of a four-year-old girl, works 12 hours a day, six days a week to earn 104,000 Liberian dollars (USD 541) a month. She is a university graduate with a bachelor in Sociology and Business. When she couldnt find a job, Calvenda decided to become a rickshaw driver in order to care for her daughters schooling and to earn a livelihood. On 08 March 2024 the world will mark International Women's Day to highlight the women's rights movement and focus on issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.
