Senegal's government announced, on 06 March, that it will hold its previously delayed presidential election on 24 March. President Macky Sall on the same day named a new Prime Minister and dissolved the parliament. The elections originally scheduled for 25 February, had been delayed by the President because of alleged errors in the electoral process, triggering nationwide protests. (ANSA).
