Divelto busto di Anna Magnani a Trastevere

(ANSA) - ROMA, 09 MAR - The niche in via della Pelliccia, in the Trastevere district where the bust dedicated to the Italian actress Oscar prize Anna Magnani was torn down during the night in Rome, Italy, 09 March 2024. A bust of the legendary Italian actress Anna Magnani was removed from its niche in a central Rome street on Friday night. The portrait sculpture of the Rome icon made famous by her interpretation of the character Pina in Roberto Rossellini's neorealist classic Roma Città Aperta was torn from its stand in Via della Pelliccia in the Trastevere district. Local police officers intervened and subsequently found the bust not far away. Investigations are underway to identify the perpetrators using video surveillance images.
