Bangladesh, preghiera per studenti uccisi in scontri

(ANSA) - ROMA, 18 AGO - Activists of Anti-Discrimination Student movement pray next to the bodies of two fellow students, during the funeral procession at central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka, Bangladesh, 18 August 2024. According to the Anti-Discrimination Student movement, two students identified as Md Emon and Mohammad Riyaz who were injured during the clashes related to the quota reform movement, succumbed to their injuries at a hospital in Dhaka. Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the head of Bangladesh's interim government on 08 August 2024 after Sheikh Hasina resigned from her position and fled the country on 05 August 2024 amid the student-led mass uprising over the government's job quota system.
