(ANSA) - ROMA, 29 AGO - epa11571070 A picture taken with a
drone shows the dried-up area of the Karla Lake reservoir, after
the water level receded, in Thessaly region, Greece, 29 August
2024. The phenomenon is related to the drop in the water level
around the reservoir and the lack of oxygen inside the Karla
Lake. Greece's emergency services on 29 August continued the
clean-up efforts of the large amount of dead fish washed up on
the beaches near the city of Volos. Local authorities have
opened an investigation to establish if the dead fish washed up
in the port of Volos originated in Lake Karla. EPA/ACHILLEAS
