(ANSA) - ROMA, 10 NOV - Bangladeshi police personnel escort an injured man protesters claimed he is a supporter of the Awami League party, during their demonstration in Dhaka, Bangladesh, 10 November 2024. Activists of the anti-discrimination student movement and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) called for a protest at Zero Point demanding trial of the Awami League (AL) leaders and to counter the gathering called by the AL to observe Noor Hossain Day, which is marked annually on 10 November to commemorate the death of Noor Hossain in 1987 in a pro-democracy protest. Bangladesh Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said Awami League will not be allowed to hold rallies, adding that the party 'in its current form is a fascist party'.
