The city of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna
is to be the latest location for the new United Nations
University dedicated to using big data and artificial
intelligence to manage changes in the human habitat, officials
said Wednesday.
Emilia-Romagna Governor Stefano Bonaccini said the Emilian
capital would house the 12th branch of the university to open
around the world, and the first in the Mediterranean area.
The UN University board accepted a bid filed by the region and
the Italian foreign ministry.
The university of Bologna, the world's oldest, will be a partner
in the operation and the new branch of the climate change uni
will be housed at Biologna's 'techno-hub'.
