Ferrari's Carlos Sainz on Saturday
qualified second for Sunday's Las Vegas Grand Prix while his
team mate Charles Leclerc will start in fourth place on the
grid.
Mercedes' George Russell took pole position for the third-last
Grand Prix of the season, while three-time world champion and
standings leader Max Verstappen will start in fifth, one place
ahead of his only remaining rival for this year's title,
McLaren's Lando Norris.
"Given that we were so close today in qualifying, tomorrow we
will have a chance to win," said Spaniard Sainz.
"That is the goal."
Ferrari are still in with a chance of lifting the constructors'
title as they are second in the table with 557 points, 36 behind
leaders McLaren.
