A 30-year-old Germany tourist was
allegedly beaten up and robbed at knife-point by four homeless
teen Tunisian migrants near the Colosseum Thursday night, police
said Friday.
The four, three 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old, allegedly
attacked the man in Via del Colosseo, put a knife to his throat,
beat him up and then took his wallet containing 385 euros,
police said.
The tourist gave police a description of his alleged assailants
which led to their arrest shortly afterwards.
Police found on them the wallet and a Swiss army knife. One of
the four also had six doses of hashish.
A Rome court on Friday validated their arrest warrants banning
two of them from Rome and ordering the other two to report
regularly to police.
