Confindustria President Emanuele
Orsini told ANSA on Wednesday that 2025 will be a crucial year
for Italy's economy, calling for a clear plan to relaunch
competitiveness based on a long-term industrial policy vision.
"2025 will be a crucial year for our economy", the president of
the industrial association told ANSA in an interview, replying
to a question on relations with policy makers and the
government.
"A clear plan to relaunch competitiveness" is necessary, "based
on a long-term industrial policy vision", he noted.
"We are concerned that production has been dropping for 21
months and it is the reason why we are strongly urging to aim to
relaunch investments", Orsini noted.
The Confindustria chairman went on to say that a proposed fiscal
measure to cut the business tax IRES for companies reinvesting
profits to boost growth and employment "goes exactly in this
direction".
"The blanket is short and it's a well-known thing.
"It is a matter of making choices and conveying the few
resources available towards development chapters.
"There is attention from the government, we will now see how the
intervention is planned", said Orsini.
