(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 1 - Rory McIlroy beat Sam Burns 3&1 to
edge Europe to within one and a half points of Ryder Cup
victory, leading the USA 13 points to seven with the magic
number set at 14.5.
In the other matches, Europe are up in three and USA up in five.
Europe last won the cup in Paris in 2018 while USA thrashed them
19-9 two years ago at Whistling Straits.
The Americans have not won golf's top team event on European
soil for 30 years. (ANSA).
