Major General Peter Vorhofer, a
senior Austrian military officer, told the Tiroler Tageszeitung
that the Austrian army needs to organise itself because "war has
returned as a dimension in politics." Another general, Guenther
Hofbauer, agreed: "The Bundesheer must be ready to face another
war," he said.
