(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 11 - Slovenian police apprehended
15,590 illegal migrants between January and September, a 115%
increase over the same nine-month period last year, according to
the Slovenian news agency STA. According to police statistics,
Afghan citizens made up the largest single group of illegal
migrants, accounting for 2,691 of the total, followed by
citizens of India, Burundi, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Almost
half of all illegal migrants were apprehended in the Koper
Police Department area, making the south-west the busiest in
terms of illegal migrations. (ANSA).
