ROME - The Italian anti-trust authority said Friday that it was fining WhatsApp three million euros after concluding two probes over the popular phone app's use of Facebook data. The authority said in a statement that the company had effectively "induced WhatsApp Messenger users to accept new terms of use whole, in particular regarding the sharing of data with Facebook, making them believe that it would be impossible to keep using the app otherwise".
