Pope Francis on Friday
postponed a scheduled visit of Rome's Gemelli hospital after a
half-hour delay.
Vatican sources said it was because the 77-year-old
Argentine pontiff "is very tired".
The visit had been expected to last about three hours, and
the papal staff and 'popemobile' were already in place for his
arrival.
Francis, who since a young man has lived with part of a
lung missing after an infection, has recently shown signs of
fatigue at his packed schedule of public engagements.
In his absence on Friday, the pope's homely was pronounced
by Milan Archbishop Cardinal Angelo Scola.
