Italy's National Magistrates
Association (ANM) rejected remarks Tuesday by Premier Matteo
Renzi suggesting that the judiciary could interfere with the
economic policy of a particular company. "We also firmly reject
the notion that we exploit lawful measures, whose omission would
be unlawful," ANM said. Renzi told the Lower House earlier that
an ongoing corruption probe into executives at national energy
giant ENI "will not change the business policy of this country".
