Milan finance police on
Wednesday carried out searches and seized documents after
Antonio Acerbo, the Milan Expo 2015 commissioner in charge of
the 'Vie d'Acqua' (Waterways) project, was put under
investigation for alleged corruption and involvement in bid
rigging. The news is fresh blow to the World Fair, which was hit
by a big corruption probe in May. Those arrested in May included
Angelo Paris, who was Expo's procurement and planning manager.
