Italian NGO Amici dei Bambini
(Friends of Children) said on Thursday it will provide food
baskets to more than 1,000 families in war-torn Syria every
month for the next six months.
The baskets with products including flour, bread, rice, tea
and sugar should help a total of 6,000 people in Syria who can't
feed their families and who have lost their homes.
Founded in 1983, the NGO's mission as stated on their
website is to "guarantee every child's right to be someone's son
or daughter by trying to give every abandoned child a family".
