Premier Matteo Renzi on Tuesday
reiterated a denial that the government was going to touch
pensions that revert to surviving spouses or offspring after the
death of a spouse or parent.
"It's the classic piece of news that feeds on itself,
there's no intervention, I totally deny it," Renzi said.
"I've already replied to all the citizens who have written
to me with a copy-and-paste message: 'guys, don't worry, it's
not going to happen"," he said on Italian radio.
