The first entirely 3D-printed
personalized knee replacement has been created at the Humanitas
institute in Milan.
The innovation was made possible through research by doctors
and researchers at the Centro per la Ricostruzione Articolare
del Ginocchio and engineers and artificial intelligence experts
from Rejoint, a Bologna start-up within Almacube.
Almacube is an incubator for new entrepreneurial experiences
sponsored by the University of Bologna and the Emilia Romagna
branch of the Italian industrialists confederation
Confindustria.
