Economy Minister Giovanni Tria's son
Stefano is on a sailboat supporting the activities of migrant
rescue ship Mare Jonio run by the Italian NGO Mediterranea, the
NGO said Wednesday.
"Stefano Tria is one of us and he's doing what Mediterranea
was born for, to save (lives) and save us from this horror,"
said Mediterreana Saving Humans.
The Mare Jonio landed in Lampedusa on march 19 with 48
rescued migrants.
"We never asked ourselves the question of who each of us is a
relative of or son, but only what we can do to save as many
human lives as possible".
