A 50-year-old worker died after a
wall collapsed near Palermo on Wednesday, the latest in a spate
of workplace accident deaths in Italy that last week saw five
workers crushed to death in a supermarket building site collapse
in Florence.
The construction worker died in Campofelice di Roccella, in the
Palermo area, when he was hit by the collapse of the wall of a
house under renovation in Via Madonnina di Gibilmanna.
The fire brigade, 118 emergency services, Carabinieri and Asp
personnel were on the scene.
