World War II partisan fighter Aldo
Tortorella, known as Alessio, has died, the national president
of Italian partisans association ANPI Gianfranco Pagliarulo said
on Thursday.
"With infinite pain, I announce the death of the very dear Aldo
Tortorella, partisan Alessio, a lawmaker, intellectual of
extraordinary stature, a point of reference for all of ANPI and
for anti-Fascists", Pagliarulo said.
