A meeting of shareholders in Italian defence and aerospace giant Finmeccanica approved a proposal from the board to adopt a new name - 'Leonardo'.
The new name will be adopted from January 1, 2017.
In the transition
period up to then it will be possible to call the company
'Leonardo-Finmeccanica,' 'Leonardo' or 'Finmeccanica'.
